The misuse of "loose" and "lose" has been one of my biggest pet-peeves on the Internet. Learn the difference, people!

THANK YOU

God, I wish I could get a job CORRECTING OTHER PEOPLE. I must be so annoying.

Jessica - my intent wasn't directed towards you - it was more of an NBC "The More You Know..." type of deal.

OMG NOOOOO!!! I didn't mean it like that, I would never be that rude and sarcastic!

I just re-read my comment and I see how you read it, but that's not what I meant at all! I was being sincere! I am an English Lit PhD student and it drives me crazy to see bad grammar and spelling. I seriously do want to carry around a big red pen and correct all the mistakes I see! I laughed when I read your comic and I really meant, thank you! I also think I must be annoying because I get so het up about stuff like this :P

I was just thinking the other day that I should do a comic about my dream job: telling other people about their mistakes. "You misplaced that apostrophe, and used 'there' instead of 'their.' Also, you married out of fear of being alone rather than any real emotional connection."

No worries :)

I know what you mean about your dream job - I wish my dream job consisted of telling everyone what's REALLY on my mind without fear of reproach or consequences. Now that would be cool.

Uh oh, don't go down this road. Next you'll tackle you're/your, would've/would of, than/then, etc, etc, etc. And you'll go insane as the masses STILL eff it all up! On second thought, go ahead. If you can help just one person, it's all worth it. Think of the kids.

The kids - exactly! They need this the most. At least based on the papers I've read... believe me.
